So, now that AMUN is done, I've got loads of things I wanted to do, and now I actually have a little bit of time I can dedicate to that list. On the wishlist of things to get done were some new icons. While I'm certainly not done, I have put together a bunch in the past week or so (mostly these past few days since AMUN), but there are two in particular I am extremely happy with:

And while I'm on the subject of new icons, here are a few I created that I might not have posted:

And because I may have more than two or so non-Stargate ones, they are behind a cut.

All photos are mine as well.

Date: 2008-12-02 02:26 pm (UTC)Thank you very much! I actually took that picture in Chicago at the Naperville River Walk. We were doing a photo story team building exercise, and I just spotted it and *click* I'm really pleased at the verdant greens in the picture and the clarity of the grass. As for a camera, I use whatever is in front of me--a Nikon D70 when possible, but I sport a Nikon S1 and my iPhone for on the spot pictures when I can't carry a camera bag with me.
Unfortunately the digital cameras today rely on autofocus way too much and don't have the technology inside to do a very precise job on it. The Digital SLR (Nikon D70) works fabulously, but the base is quite old and the pixel depth just isn't up to par with the little handhelds these days. I'm hoping sometime next year to upgrade to a D300 (my awesomeness would be a D700, but I'm not willing to chalk up 3G just yet for it) The expensive part though are the lenses... I only bought one this year, a good quality 50mm, but i'm also planning for a macro lens to get good and clear images really up close...
